Reframe Lab

It's not what you think. It's what you keep thinking.

Thoughts trigger neurochemical responses in the body, and we feel it. And when what we are feeling is the overwhelm, the fog, the reactivity, the depletion—most of us default to trying to think our way out of it, and you can't. Overthinking—repeating the same thoughts—is how we stay caught in the very loop we're trying to be free from. This isn't a failure of willpower or intelligence; it's how the loop works. The more we repeat a thought, the more it hardwires into our biology. To break the loop, we need to become conscious of the repeating thoughts and how they make us feel.

Reframe Lab builds on a regulated system by strengthening your metacognition. Metacognition is your ability to observe how you think, behave and feel. Developing this intelligence shifts the balance of power within: you direct your thoughts, they no longer direct you. Through weekly live experiential labs and continued practice between sessions, you'll learn how to work with thought, feeling, and language to recover your clarity, agency, and ability to move forward. As your skill in reframing your thoughts grows, you stop mistaking your thoughts for fixed truth—and start intentionally thinking the thoughts that create the reality of your choosing—the one you want to experience. Your decisions come from clarity instead of urgency—clearer choices, not reactions. You begin to biologically become your intentions, bringing your attention fully into the present moment, and move forward as the one creating your experience, not the one enduring it.

What You'll Learn

  • How to observe your own thinking and behavior—and direct them, instead of being directed by them.
  • How to use language to shift from reacting to your circumstances to creating them.
  • The neuroscience of thought, and the simple practices that free you from overwhelm, depletion, anxiety, and fog.
  • The hidden mechanics of thought-feeling-behavior loops—and how to create ones that work for you and dissolve those that don't.

About the Founder

Image

Biology of Being® was founded by Gina Carlson Hays. Gina's work began in the 1990s, long before nervous-system regulation entered mainstream conversations. It developed through years of hands-on exploration at the intersection of mind, body, breath, movement, and high-stakes performance.

Gina’s approach emerged during years of searching for language, theory, and support that could meet the lived experience of anxiety and self-doubt under pressure. Unable to find practitioners or frameworks working directly with nervous-system regulation in real time, she began developing what was missing — body-grounded methods that could reorganize the nervous system, creating safety, clarity, and confidence when it mattered most.

More About The Practice

The Practice trains regulation in the presence of pressure.

Demand is introduced — and the nervous system is guided to stay internally organized rather than overridden.
Capacity builds from there.

This is how clarity becomes reliable under load.
Not by avoiding pressure, but by learning how to stay coherent inside it.

What Happens in a Session

Each session combines:

  • physical load and movement
  • nervous system regulation
  • attention and perception training
  • future-oriented rehearsal

The system is engaged, not protected.
Guided, not pushed.

You meet demand.
You notice what changes when regulation is trained while demand is present.

What People Often Notice Over Time

As this work is trained consistently, people often report:

  • greater steadiness under pressure
  • clearer perception while demand is present
  • decisions that come forward with less doubt
  • a return of self-trust

Not because anything is added —
but because the system learns how to stay coherent while load is real.

How the Practice Fits the Larger Arc

The Practice lives inside Reset to Reinvent.

It functions as a monthly rite of integration — where what’s been learned in weekly labs is forged into lived capability.

This is where insight becomes embodied.
Where regulation, choice, and forward movement are trained together.

Who the Practice is For

The Practice is for people navigating sustained demand who:

  • feel mentally capable but internally strained
  • notice reactivity where there used to be choice
  • sense that pushing harder no longer works
  • want clarity they can rely on under pressure

It is especially relevant if you’re moving through change and need internal stability before forward movement.

What You Don’t Need To Do

You don’t need to perform.
You don’t need to get it right.
You don’t need prior experience.

You show up.
You follow the guidance.
You let the system train.

An Entry Point

For many people, The Practice is the first place they feel the shift.

Not because life becomes easier —
but because internal signal becomes clearer.

From there, capacity builds.
And choice becomes available again.

Kind Words

  • I’ve studied many approaches to mind-body integration, but nothing has impacted me like Gina’s work through B360. It completely changed how I move through the world. I learned not just to listen to my body—but to communicate with it. Fluently. This work rewired how I relate to stress, how I lead, how I show up in relationships, and how I recover. It’s not theoretical. It’s deeply physical, and it works. My mind is clearer, my energy steadier, and I move through life with an alignment, clarity, and intention I didn’t know was possible. Gina teaches and mentors from a place of deep honor and integrity—there’s nothing performative about her or her work. This is real, embodied transformation for those ready to go deep and integrate a high-level, sustainable practice that elevates performance, relationships, well-being—every area of life.

  • I was blown away by the rapid results I achieved through Gina’s work — a synthesis of various modalities, that I found to be a powerful manifestation tool that has changed my life and what I thought possible for myself. Plus Gina Carlson is super gentle and creates a really safe space while challenging you to go further than you thought you ever could. She’s a total bad ass, dressed in sheep’s clothing!!– in a GOOD way!!

  • Gina Carlson is a master facilitator in guiding us in what it takes to empty out and await Clarity of Life to occur for us with Ease & Grace. Gina is my teacher, guide and sweet soul sister that has touched, moved and inspired me only every time that I’ve had the privilege of being in Her Presence.

  • Every time I take Gina’s class I walk out at the end of it with all of my body cells lit up and energized! Her work has allowed me to bypass my mind and drop into my body’s intelligence which is far more kind, loving, supportive and productive than my never ending “to do list”. I don’t have enough words to describe the power of the work – it is quite a treat to be led by her in the most gentle, loving, nurturing and focused way.  I highly recommend working with her and experiencing her magic first hand.

  • Working with Gina changed my life.  I have always been inspired and operated from great intentions, but Gina’s raw love and guidance created a shift in me, revealing that my way of seeing society was blocking me from seeing who I truly I am.  The EmbodyCom work challenged me to step up and play bigger.  I now have a deeper connection to my essence, my soul and my value.

  • Working with Gina has given me a solid foundation so that I could move forward with my dream of launching my life coaching practice. I have learned so many lessons and techniques from Gina which I use in my every day life, and also in my work as a life coach. I am a grateful student of her work, her dedication, her belief in me, and for how much my life has changed for the better from working with Gina.

  • What drew me to work with Gina is her collaborative approach to meditation – together discovering the pathways to a deeper dive, respecting that each person’s experience is unique. Gina’s curiosity, coupled with her demonstration of active learning with humility, are the hallmarks of a great teacher – one who is along for the ride and recognizes that the individual is in charge of their path and their healing. There is a great sense of safety derived from this kind of relationship, and therefore, a great opening up to possibilities within and without.
