Regulation Lab
Stress isn't the problem. An untrained response to stress is.
When you've been living with long-term stress, loss of clarity isn't far behind. Many of us have normalized chronic stress to the point that mental fog, reactivity, exhaustion, and loss of steadiness define daily life. This isn't a personal failing — it's what happens when a system carries more than it was built to hold. As your system becomes increasingly taxed, it's harder to detect the internal signals telling you you're on overload, and self-doubt creeps in where self-trust used to be. In order to recover deep rest, clarity, and stability, your system needs a reset.
A nervous-system–first approach to creating clarity under pressure. Regulation Lab is our foundation lab. The goal isn't to eliminate stress, but to train your system to recover clarity, stability, and capacity in the presence of it. Through guided learning, a live experiential lab, and simple between-session practices, you'll build the self-regulation skills needed to reset your system—restoring energy, self-trust, and steadiness—even amid accelerated change.
What you'll learn:
- How to recognize the early signs of system overload—before clarity begins to fade.
- The neuroscience behind stress and clear thinking—and how to un-wire self-doubt while rewiring the neural circuitry of self-trust.
- Anytime practices for deep rest, from midday resets to restorative sleep—renewing energy, restoring clarity, and building capacity when you need it most.
- How to develop a clear internal reference for what an organized system feels like, and how to map it in quickly—in real time, under pressure.
"Clarity is the signature of an organized internal system."

About the Founder

Biology of Being® was founded by Gina Carlson Hays. Gina's work began in the 1990s, long before nervous-system regulation entered mainstream conversations. It developed through years of hands-on exploration at the intersection of mind, body, breath, movement, and high-stakes performance.
Gina’s approach emerged during years of searching for language, theory, and support that could meet the lived experience of anxiety and self-doubt under pressure. Unable to find practitioners or frameworks working directly with nervous-system regulation in real time, she began developing what was missing — body-grounded methods that could reorganize the nervous system, creating safety, clarity, and confidence when it mattered most.
