Signal Fluency Lab™
By design, signals get your attention. Signal Fluency is what makes them clear.
The body speaks through what you feel, not what you think. By design, it processes a constant stream of information—from your environment and from your own biology. But most of us were trained to read that information through a lens shaped by our life experience, one that filters how we relate to our past, present, and future circumstances. That lens distorts the signal, creating an ever-widening gap between what the signal is conveying and our ability to accurately interpret it. This isn't a flaw in you—it's a lens you were trained into, unconsciously. This internal communication gap shows up as depletion, overwhelm, scattered thinking, mental fog, and reactivity. Developing Signal Fluency™ closes that distance—resetting your energy, clarity, stability, and ability to move forward.
Signal Fluency is the ability to discern. When you're able to pick up the nuances of meaning your lens inadvertently embeds in your internal signals, you grow a capacity to respond with clarity to whatever life asks of you. Through guided practice in our live experiential lab and continued practice between sessions, you'll strengthen your ability to track and organize your internal signals and the influences shaping them. As your Signal Fluency grows, so does self-trust. Steadiness and discernment follow—forward motion that comes from a settled system with a clear signal, not from force.
What You'll Learn
- How to map your internal signals and read the influences shaping their meaning.
- Why every internal signal has value—even when it feels confusing, conflicting, or difficult to trust.
- How to simultaneously tend to competing signals and how that builds Signal Fluency™.
- A reliable framework for navigating complexity through Signal Fluency—building clarity, precision, and self-trust.
"Internal Signals are your biology offering you support."

About the Founder

Biology of Being® was founded by Gina Carlson Hays. Gina's work began in the 1990s, long before nervous-system regulation entered mainstream conversations. It developed through years of hands-on exploration at the intersection of mind, body, breath, movement, and high-stakes performance.
Gina’s approach emerged during years of searching for language, theory, and support that could meet the lived experience of anxiety and self-doubt under pressure. Unable to find practitioners or frameworks working directly with nervous-system regulation in real time, she began developing what was missing — body-grounded methods that could reorganize the nervous system, creating safety, clarity, and confidence when it mattered most.
