Future Self Rehearsal™ Lab
Think it. Breathe it. Feel it. Become it.
A tennis player doesn't meet match point cold.
Long before the match, they've already hit that serve a thousand times.
Alone. On an empty court. Nobody watching.
It's not just tennis players.
The CEO rehearses the boardroom before she ever walks into it.
The dancer dances the piece into her body hundreds of times before opening night — until she's not thinking about the choreography anymore, she just is it.
The surgeon has made that incision in his mind before he ever picks up the scalpel.
None of them are hoping it goes well. They've lived it ahead of the experience.
By the time they step onto the court, the stage, the boardroom floor — their body has become it.
You have a match of your own.
Maybe it's a high-stakes negotiation. A stage. A conversation you've been avoiding. A version of your life you haven't dared to live yet.
And somewhere in you, there's a version of yourself who dares — to live bigger, freer, unshakeable.
But right now, that version only exists as a daydream while you shower.
Future Self Rehearsal™ Lab is where you stop imagining and start training.
This isn't about thinking positive thoughts.
It's about standing like the person who already made it. Moving like them. Speaking like them.
Here we play with the voice.
Say the thing out loud before you have to say it for real.
Screw it up. Trip on stage while others are watching and respond with play instead of embarrassment and laugh instead of shrinking.
Walk into the room like you belong there.
Improvise a high stakes scenario so many times, the fear of choking no longer registers.
Hit the serve. Take up the space. Dare a little.
This is primal. Physical. A little bit boundless.
Not a visualization exercise you do quietly with your eyes closed.
This is your voice. Your stance. Your cadence. Your breath. Your movement. Your presence. Your poise. Your whole body, rehearsing new territory before it's time to act.
That said, not every rehearsal is for the big stage.
Rehearsal moves you through a hard conversation without your stomach in knots.
It builds trust in yourself and makes an ordinary Tuesday feel like the best "me time."
Rehearsal is where you meet the version of you that prevails under pressure.
The one who stays steady when the day goes sideways.
It's what lets you actually be present for the ordinary moments — not just get through them.
Rehearsal is how you get yourself back.
Because Future Self Rehearsal™ isn't only about becoming someone new. It's about building the clarity, capacity, self-trust, and steadiness to move at a pace of life that gets you there early to pick them up instead of the last car in the lot, or lets you taste your dinner instead of inhaling it standing at the kitchen counter — because you already rehearsed the two words nobody argued with: "not now."
Future Self Rehearsal™ is where you develop the habit of being fully yours, right down to the last hour of the day.
What you'll explore
- How to rehearse failure on purpose, so it stops having power over you.
- The skills and practices of Future Self Rehearsal—our in-depth, signature methodology for building a felt-sense memory of a moment you haven't lived yet.
- How to shift the postural habits that signal overwhelm, fog, and self-doubt into confidence, clarity and self-trust.
- The rehearsal training actors, athletes, soldiers, and CEOs use to create the outcome they want before the event happens.
- The five principles behind the neuroscience of rehearsal and how it biologically changes you.
Future Self Rehearsal™ inside Reset to Reinvent™
Regulation creates more room. Reframe asks what thinking you're bringing into it. Future Self Rehearsal asks who you're bringing into it.
You have to rehearse the version of you who can actually hold the new thought — stand in it, speak in it, move in it — before life asks you to prove it.
That's why Future Self Rehearsal is where the work stops being understood and starts being lived.

About the Founder

Biology of Being® was founded by Gina Carlson Hays. Her work began in the 1990s, long before nervous-system regulation entered mainstream conversation — developed through years of hands-on study and lived experience at the intersection of mind, body, breath, movement, and high-stakes environments.
Unable to find practitioners or frameworks working directly with nervous-system regulation in real time, she set out to build what was missing — training across somatic studies, movement, and embodiment practices, and developing body-grounded methods that could reorganize the whole internal system, creating safety, clarity, and confidence when it mattered most.
That work became the four disciplines inside Reset to Reinvent™: Regulation, Reframe, Future Self Rehearsal™, and Signal Fluency™.
